Bear Watching

Bear Watching by boat in Ucluelet, 2.5 to 3 hour tours.

Join Beachcomber Ocean Tours on an unforgettable journey. We often travel to secluded back country inlets 25 miles away to view black bears foraging along scenic shorelines at low tide. Spend time viewing bears, learn about bear behaviour and capture those perfect photos only possible from the water.

Often the best time to view Black Bears is at low tide as they forage the shoreline for delicacies such as rock crab, clams, barnacles, berries and sea grass. After their winter hibernation, late spring to October, bears wake up hungry and can often be found along the shorelines turning over rocks in search of food.

Adults $109.00, Children 6-12 $89.00, 2-5 years $69.00  under 2 FREE

On our journey there will be opportunities to view other wildlife such as Bald Eagles, Sea Lions, Harbour Seals, Racoons and who knows what mother nature will offer. Your guide will keep you entertained with stories about the rich coastal history of First Nations,  pioneers and shipwrecks to enrich your west coast adventure.

The perfect tour for Photographers! This tour provides you with opportunities to get the perfect shot up close.

Departure times are tide dependent.  There may be days we do not have a  Bear tour because the low tides do not coincide with our hours of operation.                                                                                                 Please call to reserve so you don’t miss out  250-726-3444
